Love is a journey and we feel blessed to see and experience our clients’ journeys of love every time. We cry little tears of joy when hearing romantic stories our clients share. This is one of them.
When Toya reached out to us to plan an anniversary celebration for her husband, Terrain, we immediately knew we had to make it extraordinary. The couple met at an event in Charlottesville, VA, where Terrain spotted Toya across a room of 200 people. He proceeded to start a conversation with one bad joke and after failing the first time, he persisted and finally made Toya laugh and the rest is history. After long-distance dating for 7 weeks, Terrain knew Toya was the one and proposed to her (after getting her father’s approval of course). Toya said yes and they got married.
This year, they are celebrating 7 years of marriage; but when we met this couple in person, it looked like they were still in their honeymoon phase. Their immense love radiated from that picnic table. Our partnered photographer, Challis from Landon Photography, captured all the magical moments. This anniversary picnic was a total surprise for Terrain from his thoughtful wife, Toya. However, when they saw their picnic set up, they were both totally surprised. See their first reaction below!
Toya and Terrain chose to have an elevated experience with a customized charcuterie board to reflect all their perfect charcuterie picnic foods. Their love for olives, artisanal cheeses, spicy meats, accompanied by fresh French bread and sprinkles of pistachios made this one board to remember. They enjoyed the colorful and tasteful flavors paired with a recommended champagne from our sommelier.
